The Farm Group, London buys a Netvue IPTV system

Netvue has installed an IPTV head-end at The Farm Group's 'Uncle' post-production facility in London. This head-end streams TV and Satellite channels, plus a feed from the company's video matrix, across the IT network.

Uncle - Location for The Farm Group's IPTV head-end The Farm Group's IT network spans all four of their London post-production facility sites, so the Netvue system allows them to show streamed IPTV channels on TV displays at all of their sites.

With a mixture of PVR (personal video recorder) and standard IPTV player applications for desktop computers, The Farm Group are also able to view TV channels on computers, and make scheduled recordings for later viewing. As Group Director of Technology Dave Klafkowski told Netvue, "IPTV distribution is the grown-up way to send TV around our business".

Daniel Sassen, chief engineer at Envy, noted that "extending our IPTV system to Margaret Street allowed us to easily provide TV and video channels there, without the expense and disruption of installing more roof-top equipment and another head-end at the new site".
