Netvue installs IPTV system for Sony Pictures Entertainment UK headquarters

Sony Pictures Entertainment bought an IPTV system from Netvue as part of their expansion into a new building adjacent to their existing London headquarters. Netvue were responsible for supply and Sony Picturesinstallation of a combined Digital Terrestrial and Satellite IPTV head-end, as well as re-engineering the distribution of satellite feeds from 7 satellite dishes in order to feed both old and new TV distribution systems during the change-over from RF distribution to IPTV.

The use of IPTV allowed Sony Pictures to add distribution of live broadcast off-air feeds of their own SET and AXN broadcast TV channels to the viewing system. This was an important feature for the production teams working on the creation and scheduling of these channels. Netvue's IPTV streaming system distributes over 70 IPTV channels across the company’s IT network to multiple users in offices. production areas and meeting rooms as well as reception and hospitality areas.
