Exterity announces AvediaStream family of products
|
|
Exterity has moved all IPTV head-end products into
their next generation blade-based product family. This
new family of products is called AvediaStream and comprises
chassis units and hot-swap blade modules.
 AvediaStream
chassis units are available in the following three
options,
all with the ability to hot-swap blades:
AvediaStream c1101 A single slot desktop chassis
AvediaStream c1103 A three slot 1U rack chassis
AvediaStream c1110 A ten slot 4U rack chassis, with
the ability to hot-swap blades, fans, and power supplies.
This chassis can be fitted with up to 3 power supplies
for improved reliability and 24/7 operation.
AvediaStream blades populate the above chassis.
Covering all TV gateway products and SD and HD encoders,
these blades can be inserted, in any combination, into
the three chassis types.
Simplified Installations - when new blades are purchased,
simply slide into the chassis on arrival
Faster Customisation - multi-product customised units
are easily assembled on-site by sliding the appropriate
blades into the chassis - no more hard-wiring at the
factory
Easier Field Replacement & Less Downtime - especially
on the AvediaStream 3-slot and 10-slot chassis, where
a faulty blade can be returned without having to send
back the rest of the working unit!

New HD
Encoders from Exterity

HD
Encoders are now available from Exterity. These
units allows organisations to encode video as MPEG4
H.264 streams for distribution over their IP networks.
The HD PRO Encoder is the first in the range of Exterity
high definition (HD) encoders. It provides a single
channel HD component input via BNC connectors. Video
is encoded using the popular H.264 standard, capable
of transporting stunning HD picture quality to a PC
screen or via an HD Receiver to a digital television
or other video display.
